Training

Estacado Systems offers in-depth training sessions at your facilities or ours covering the wide array of topics today's IP communications engineers and executives need to understand to succeed.

We cover:

  • SIP - both what it is really good (and not good) for, as well as how it works. We focus on those areas that have caused difficulties in real deployments, providing insight into why the protocol is defined the way it is in addition to exploring what you can do when you encounter the protocol's limits.

  • SIP applications and extensions, including SIMPLE (presence and instant messaging) and the 3G IMS.

  • NATs - including their effect on applications, not just signaling and media. We explore STUN, TURN and ICE and discuss their features and limitations.

  • The use of DNS with SIP systems - how to improve DNS performance, how to populate the zone files for scale, and how to recognize when DNS is adversely affecting your SIP elements.

  • Best practices for high levels of interoperability and successful integration.

  • Techniques for achieving high-availability.

We tailor our training sessions to meet your needs, whether by providing additional insight into why there is so much market excitement around SIP and real-time communications at an executive level or by diving deep into the mechanics of SIP transactions with implementors.

Sessions at your facilities are scheduled on an as-available basis, and require a minimum number of guaranteed attendees (currently 20).

Sessions at our facilities are scheduled as-needed, and can be exclusive for attendees from a single organization, or a joint session for several smaller organizations. (Course description and schedules)
